Varenna (Lake Como, Italy)

Varenna is a municipality on Lake Como in the province of Lombardy located about 60 km north of Milan and 20 km northwest of Lecco.

This beautiful town founded in 769 by local fishermen and was later allied of the comune of Milan.

Varenna is the birthplace of the founder of Pirelli Company Giovanni Battista Pirelli.
